six Cricket Betting — Bet on Every Format from BPL to T20 World Cup
Across T20, ODI and Test, six offers a wide range of markets — from match winner, toss and top batsman to live betting. All major international series including BPL and IPL are covered.
Cricket's Three Formats and Major Tournaments
For cricket fans in Bangladesh, the game's three formats each have their own character and offer a different betting experience.
T20 — Fast and Straightforward
T20 is the most popular format because every ball can directly change the result. BPL is Bangladesh's domestic T20 league, featuring local and international players. IPL is India's league but has a huge following in Bangladesh. The T20 World Cup is the biggest stage — interest in betting on every match is very high.
Betting markets in T20 move quickly. A six or a wicket can change the odds in an instant, making live betting the most engaging option here.
ODI and Test — Games of Patience and Analysis
In one-day (ODI) cricket, 50 overs are played, so the betting markets are broader — you can bet on mid-match scores, runs in specific segments and how many runs will be scored in a particular powerplay. The ICC Cricket World Cup and Asia Cup are especially popular with Bangladeshi fans.
Test cricket is a five-day test of patience. Here, a draw is a valid result, so the market has three options — Team A wins, Team B wins or draw. Pitch conditions and weather play a major role in Test betting.
six also offers betting on football and other sports such as kabaddi and tennis. In football, goals are settled within 90 minutes and draws are common — slightly different from T20 cricket, where a tie is possible but rare. Understanding the pace and strategy of each sport makes betting more enjoyable.
Popular Betting Markets and How Each Works
The most used cricket betting markets on six and how they work.
The simplest market — pick which team will win the match. Two options in T20 and ODI (two teams), three in Test (Team A, Team B or draw).
A clear result right at the start of the match — bet on which team will win the toss. Odds are usually close due to the 50/50 chance.
Bet on which batsman will score the most runs in a team or across the whole match. Batting form and pitch conditions play a key role here.
Choose whether the total runs scored in the full match or in specific overs will be more (over) or less (under) than a set number. Example: line is 160 runs in 20 overs — over means 161 or more.
A combination bet linking multiple matches or markets together. If all selections are correct, the odds multiply and the return increases significantly. However, if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
The weaker team is given a virtual advantage to level the playing field. You can also bet on the run margin — by how many runs a team will win.
Odds Written Three Ways — What Does Each Mean?
In cricket betting, odds are displayed in three formats. Each conveys the same information — only the way it is expressed differs.
| Format | How It Is Written | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Stake × odds = total return (including profit) |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked |
| American | +125 | +(positive) — profit on a ৳100 stake |
| American (Favourite) | −400 | −(negative) — amount needed to stake to make ৳100 profit |
Odds for Team A to win: Decimal 2.25 = Fractional 5/4 = American +125. With a ৳200 bet, if Team A wins the total return is ৳450 (৳250 profit + original ৳200 back); if Team A loses the full ৳200 is gone.
Odds for Team B to win: Decimal 1.25 = Fractional 1/4 = American −400 (American minus odds show how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit). On a ৳200 bet, total return is ৳250 (৳50 profit).
Multi Bet Calculation
In a multi bet, the odds of three selections are multiplied together. Say three separate matches have odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90 respectively. The combined odds will be:
1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (rounded). On a ৳100 bet, if all three selections are correct the total return is ৳581. If even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Multi bets are appealing because the return can be large — but the risk is also multiplied. Betting within your entertainment budget is the sensible approach. To learn the rules around betting, read the Terms and Conditions.
Live In-Play Betting — Bet While the Match Is On
With in-play betting you can place bets after the match has started — odds shift with every wicket and every over.
What Happens to Odds When a Wicket Falls?
Say Team A is batting and has scored well in 10 overs without losing a wicket. At that moment, Team A's odds of winning will shorten (meaning they become the favourite), while Team B's odds will lengthen. If two quick wickets fall, the situation can reverse.
If the run rate is high in the powerplay, the odds on the over line for total runs shorten — because a higher score becomes more likely. With a big hitter at the crease in the death overs, the odds can shift again.
In live betting you need to decide quickly, as odds update from moment to moment. In-play markets let you bet based on how the match is unfolding — it is quite a different experience from pre-match betting.

A Few Useful Things Before You Start Betting
Keeping a few basic things in mind will make your cricket betting experience better.
-
Set a Budget First
Betting is a form of entertainment — setting a separate budget for each session keeps spending under control. Learn more about responsible betting on the Responsible Gaming page. -
Understand the Market Properly
Match winner is straightforward, but total runs or handicap markets have slightly different rules. It is worth reading the market terms before placing a bet. -
Focus on One Format
T20, ODI and Test each have their own pace. Understanding the rules and markets of one format first makes it easier to move on to another. -
Be Patient in In-Play Betting
Odds change fast in live betting. Rather than making rushed decisions, watch how the match develops before placing your bet. -
Be Careful with Multi Bets
The return on a multi bet can be large, but one wrong selection means losing everything. Get comfortable with single bets first before moving to multi bets. -
Do Not Chase Losses
After losing a bet, it is better not to immediately place a bigger bet to try to recover. Betting is for enjoyment, not pressure.
How Does a Betting Exchange Work?
In regular betting you bet against the platform. In a betting exchange you can bet against other bettors — two roles are possible.
BACK Team A, ৳1,000 — if Team A wins, ৳800 profit (before commission); if not, ৳1,000 is lost.
LAY Team A, against a backer's ৳1,000 stake — the layer's liability is ৳800 (৳1,000 × 0.80); if Team A does not win, the layer receives ৳1,000 (before commission); if Team A wins, the layer pays ৳800.
Note that Team A and Team B are used throughout — these are for illustration only and do not refer to any real team.
